I'm a latecomer to Squeezelite and can't find an answer to this issue in the forum. I installed local player plugin via LMS > Settings > Plugins. All worked well, and is working for playing FLAC, mp3, AAC, etc. (and I didn't need to add/edit anything). But here's the odd thing. I also have SqueezePlay installed on the windows machine (I use the windows machine at work without a Hardware SB player). Previously, SqueeePlay was my "player". Now, squeezelite takes over and becomes the player (I don't need to start SqueezePlay at all). But Squeezelite takes over the NAME I've given to Squeezeplay (rather than showing up as local player). I can't see BOTH SqueezePlay and SqueezeLite in the player dropdown list. And if I open SqueezePlay after squeezelite is already playing, the Squeezeplay instance starts playing the same song as Squeezelite is already playing (but not synched).
What am I missing here? Seems like I should be able to give SqueezePlay a different name, and even use SqueezePlay to control the SqueezeLite headless player. (I *can* control squeezelite with Squeezeplay, but with this odd interaction noted earlier). And I have no choice in SqueezePlay to change players from "squeezelite....i.e., local player" to SqueezePlay. I can replicate this on my windows laptop at home as well.
