Either from the SB Touch or from a desktop pc (Chrome) connected to LMS (Synology 412+) I have no Echo Nest results. Chrome (PC) shows no errors. The Chrome Error's Console is empty (see attachement).
Unfortunately all I can see from that small screenshot is that it's not what I wanted to see :). Please check the browser's menu, Tools/Javscript Console (or similar), then switch to the "console" tab. And do this while the Blender is running.
1.Should LMS make a connection through te SYN with Echonest?
Yes, when mixing.
2.The Syn does not have a browser installed. Would installing a browser on the SYN help me out or are there other simple ways to look for possible errors?
Go to the LMS settings Advanced/Logging and enable debugging for plugin.smartmix.
