Hi Triode, I just realized that maybe I skipped more than one version of the plugin when updating lately. It cannot be too many though, I think.
Working to track down my problem, I tried to get the plugin running on a Windows 7.5.3 (which is the same version I run on my QNAP TS-119) and it showed exactly the same error I described above. So I could play around on the PC and as one step installed 7.7.2 on it. After that I could use the plugin without probs (ignoring for now that the covers are not shown on SqueezePlay at all; on a Touch they are). So this looks to me as if one of the more recent changes in the plugin made it incompatible with the 7.5.3 SBS. Do you think this could be the case? As one of the next steps in solving my issue, I will install 2.2.8 or 2.2.9 and see if that again works with 7.5.3. Another more invasive change could be to update the QNAP firmware and the install their 7.7.2 QPKG. But I am somehow scared this would lead to the next couple of probs (I still remember the disks spinning up and down all the time all too well).
