Hi Triode,

You're fast!

I've reset the pw a gazillion times but it never seems to "take".

Meanwhile, just tried manually starting the helper app from a command
prompt (following your advice in another post here). If I do that before
starting LMS, I can then enter my password in the Web UI after the
server starts and play just fine. But I'm back to square one after a
restart.

I'm on Win 7 so the path is
C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins\Spotify\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread\spotifyd.exe.
I've created a batch file to call this and as long as I leave the
command line window open that the batch file opens, music plays and I
can see the helper app happily logging away.

Does this make any sense to you?
