first, in the plug-in page I check for upgrade to the new version, because it alerts me, but after re-start it is always asking for the upgrade...suggestions?
What version are you running? I did a poor update with 0.6.0 which would ask for updates over and over again. But you should get 0.6.1 by now (or really soon). Please check again in a day.
second, I started checking for artist pictures but it took really too long during scan, because of my really-huge-collection...so I decided to give up...the question: the pictures downloaded til my stop are stored somewhere on my pc? could I erase them, if I found where?
It's in the cache.db and imgproxy.db files in your cache folder. The data would expire in a month. If you don't want to wait, then you can just delete those two files while LMS is stopped. Please note that this will obviously delete more data than just this plugin's. But usually there shouldn't be anything which can't be re-built inside these files.
FWIW: the next release should be much quicker (well, depending on your collection), as only artists shown in the My Music / Artists menu will be used to grab images. The current release tries to find any contributor in your DB, even if it's only a one-hit wonder on the "best of '89" sampler you want to see buried inside the VA menu. In my case this is a reduction of about 60%.
