Aha. So at about the 10th attempt, I finally got this to work under Windows. After adding the repository numerous times, a separate section appeared at the bottom of the plugin list called SqueezeCloud Plugin. This allowed me to check the box and restart (again), at which point I got the warning that I was about to install a plugin and ... bingo! There it is.
