You have no idea how many hours I've been swearing about this kind of issues over the past years... I'll add another one or two as soon as I get to it.
Could you who have issues with accented and other characters please let me know what operating system your LMS is running on, whether the files were edited on the same system or not (eg. LMS on NAS, editing on Windows), and how you transfer them when editing and LMS aren't on the same machine?
