Are you sure you are looking at the player that is the phone itself? You can't remotely control the AirPlay setting since the AirPlay control is an iOS system control. IPeng also has no influence on how iOS shows that control, I know that on old iOS versions the AirPlay discovery sometimes didn't work very well but I can see no reason why it should not work in iPeng if other Apps show it correctly.
