Not necessarily. "Prevent Sleep Mode" turns off the auto lock. So if
that's what you want, it would be the way to go instead of turning it
off on a system-wide basis.
"Connect Last Server" is really only required if you use several servers
and you switch players between them while wanting to stay connected to a
particular server. It's really only helpful in a few edge cases and
iPeng 7 doesn't even have it anymore, I'd leave that off.

Aha. Well, you wrote you had turned it on....
WOL is in iPeng's server settings. Tap the details disclosure button
(">") behind the server name.
Did you enable WOL on the iMac, too?
