The home button is still there (just below) and the power button also always has been there, it's just redesigned because people indeed didn't understand that the icon was a power button. And it's by no means redundant, it has different functionality (group power vs. individual power and "power of all" on "hold"). No, the reason for the change of the header bar was twofold: 1. We could not find a design that looked even remotely appropriate for iOS 7 but still had a player tab that didn't use the full width of the screen. Tried around 10 designs, all of them dead ugly. 2. There's also a space problem on the main screen. The "back" buttons in iOS 7 take much more space than before so if we wanted to keep them (instead of going to a plain icon) we needed to get that bigger, that's why they got moved out of the corner next to the tab.

That's not iPeng and there is no way to avoid it, it's automatically generated by iOS, probably because there is no API to tell an App that you disabled cellular, the OS ALWAYS reports cellular as available, even if you enable the block. Whenever an App has ever accessed the internet, this message comes up when cellular data is blocked and there are a lot of cases where iPeng at least has to try to reach the internet, for example checking whether it's registered on MySqueezebox.com. > > 3. Doesn't matter that this costs you perpetual annoyance for an App you use 20 times a day, it's that once minute to learn a new scheme you need to save upfront.... > > 5. I've got enough change requests for these sliders by now that implementing all of then will leave you with a slider the size of a button :) They shall be aligned so no longer than the indented one. And the one with the AirPlay button. Plus volume buttons. It'll be unusable. > > PS I guess like quite a few of the app store reviewers, once I finally > held my nose real tight and submitted to the aesthetic pain of iOS 7, I > rebought iPeng 7 to help keep you in cold beers - but I'm not really > feeling the love, as in did we gain anything? Enjoy the beers though. Well, some of my all-time-favorite change requests: configurable main menu, color schemes, better multiplayer-handling, support for LMS 7.9 (libraries! composers!), single-thumb-use, a universal App, completely new iPad UI,....
