One reason for the change is to indicate that it's a "back" button because the associated iOS 7-gesture for back (swipe from the right screen edge) now also works so you can more easily use a thumb to switch back and forth between the main menu and the NowPlaying screen. The opposite swipe direction works, too, to get _to_ NowPlaying. This worked before in iPeng but not as good as now, gesture recognition is much improved in iOS 7 over older iOS versions.

The main menu moves to the back while you do this and it's fully interactive! Now bling enough? Move the device and notice that the album cover moves with a parallax effect and all the blur is actually a live blur and moves with it. How many other 3rd party Apps have you seen doing that? OK, it's probably too subtle to count as posh.... > > I see, it was the same in the old iPeng too, I turned data back on.
