Indeed, it works when sugar cube is disabled. However, I would definitely prefer, if both plugins would be able to add simultaneously tracks to the current playlist, in particular in view of classical music, for which sugar cube / MusicIP works better than Smart Mix, at least on my very extensive classical music collection.
Yeah, there's a problem when running both at the same time, as both feature a similar kind of "add tracks automatically" mode. When both are adding and removing what they consider the great mix, then there obviously will be some interaction between the two.
You can enable/disable SmartMix' "don't stop the music" feature on the fly, using the SmartMix menu in My Music.
