Thank you very much for the quick reply and for the suggestion. I had a look in the log and it turned out there was a "bad playlist" which was causing the app to retry fetching it many times. It took a bit of work to track it down but I managed it and now I have removed it the playlists load instantly again.
Very happy to have it working fully again.
