To cut a long story short, after trying your suggestions, I decided to
go for broke, un-install, and then re-install, the plug-in which seems
to have done the trick. Self Test has passed and music is streaming on
both my Touch and Boom Radio.

Your feedback helped me to move in the right direction so thanks.
