Very interesting proof of concept. I see you are using the apple-ipad-hls mediaset (for the mediaselector/5) which, looking at just one Radio 3 programme, seems to contain just one stream - 128kbps. I wonder whether there are any other mediasets which give access to 320 kbps - though it is possible that on-demand HLS 320 kbps hasn't been implemented yet.
