Ah, I didn't realise we lose ffwd/rewind with the above hack. In which
case we keep the above in reserve until we need it, and continue with
RTMP for now for general use. It is however an interesting start, and
gives something if RTMP stops working. Clearly HLS needs tighter
integration into iPlayer plugin to get rewind/ffwd working. Possibly
can't do rewind/ffwd with ffmpeg.
