@Mr Nick, are you sure that the alpha plugin is installed and running, I had a minor issue with 404 errors connecting to Triode's repository. Once I got it connected and downloaded everything was fine. Go to settings/plugins and confirm that you have the iPlayer alpha plugin, it should be near the top of the list.
