No, the post you quoted is referring to the version on the Amazon App
store.  Amazon devices do not have Google Play services installed, which
is required for Wear and Chromecast support, and Amazon tend to reject
apps that even hint at using anything Google related.

The version on Google Play is exactly the same as the one that got
removed.

The original app was most likely removed because the screenshots had
album covers in it and the legal arm of some record company probably
noticed and complained to Google.

This of course is just a guess. Google never specifically said that the
screenshots were infringing, only that the app involved displaying album
covers.  And they didn't mention this until after the removal and there
was nothing I could do about.

I think Google's stance is that since they not review apps before
publication (at least not until very recently) and you could just
republish any app that was removed, they are not going to spend any
effort to try to work out the situation with you.
