It's obviously this call; it's the only place where the string "getMLB-"
shows up; the intent being that the whole thing is replaced with the
icon. For some reason, the lookup isn't occurring and you simply get
the "getMLB-39" reference, which if you go back and look at the table
you had us change for the D-backs you'll sure enough see "Padres" in
slot 39. Wonder why the reference to the icon isn't being made, though.
Another detail is that *both* teams will always exhibit this issue, or
neither will. You won't get one team with an icon and another with the
bogus text.
