I started that development because I have a mix of SqueezeBoxes and
Sonos devices. In fact, it was initially named squeeze2Sonos but then I
realized I could make a more generic uPnP solution. I wanted for me a
good co-existence and a smooth migration if/when LMS would stop being
maintained. I agree that Sonos UI has some benefits, but 1/ moving
constantly between LMS and Sonos UI was a pain for me and 2/ at the end,
I prefer LMS with all the plugins that come with it.

That's the story behind. The missing feature is still synchronization
between LMS and Sonos and I'm working on it, this is not easy and I'm
not sure I'll succeed here. Still, it is worth mentionning that if you
create groups or pairs within Sonos, then you can use any of the group
members through LMS/sq2u and they will be in sync inside the group (I
use that for pairs of play:1 - I've hidden one of them in sq2u and the
pair is seen by LMS as as single entity)

LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2. Sonos 2xPLAY:1,
PLAY:3, PLAY:5, Marantz NR1603, JBL OnBeat, XBMC, Foobar2000, XBoxOne
(sort of)
