I used Bubble UPNP, which is an android app, with the Naim because at that time Naim only had an ios app. I never found it entirely satisfactory and eventually succumbed and bought an ipod touch to use the Naim control app. However I always gravitated back to using LMS and the Touch because it's just so damned flexible and usable. I also used Jamcast for a while which takes the output from Squeezelite on your sound card and converts it into a uPNP stream. It worked ok but I wasn't entirely happy with SQ and there is always a 3-4 second delay in control instructions. When sq2u came along it was the answer to my prayers so I was, and remain, an enthusiastic user of the app. SWMBO is not at all techie either and likes things to just work so LMS suits her fine! The Bubble app is still on the Nexus7 and I use it occasionally, just to see if it works, and it does seem to work better now so may be worth a punt, but IMHO LMS with sq2u and the choice of control apps is a far superior option. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PaulinPosset's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63060 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102496 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
