Yes I can confirm that foobar works well, I use it regularly. XBMC
(Kodi) also works on Linux. About the Neet player mentionned above, it
"seems" to work, the uncertainty is the capability for the player to be
a uPnP *renderer*. Some, like Samsung wireless line, claim DLNA/uPnP
compatibility, but in fact they can be a client of a DLNA server so that
the grab content from such servers, but they do not themselves act as a
DLNA renderer (player). Having said that, this one says it can be
controlled by Android DLNA apps, so it seems likely to work. I do not
seem to be able to get one of these from where I am (CA)
