I've had 24 bit flac tracks from various UK and EU sources and never had a problem with LMS, Touch or sq2u to 2 different UPnP devices. I certainly never transcoded to wav and back or anything like that.
The current sq2u is very stable for me. Look at the git to see whether your devices have been used already. One of mine is a Marantz, which is the same company as Denon, so with luck that will be OK. Usable UPnP Control Points are, in my view, mostly poor, especially Linn's. Bubble on Android is OK. I use upplay on linux (with minimserver as the server) as a backup to LMS, and it is at least simple and uncluttered. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. LMS & Squeeze2upnp to MF M1 CLiC (to MF amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Minimserver (server) & upplay (control point) to same renderers & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to speakers/phones. Wireless Xubuntu 14.04 laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
