I had a private directory that I decided not to use any more. I changed it to ?. I got no sound at all, although the GUI seemed to play, and that's in the logs I produced. I changed that to blank, and all worked. I tried again with ? and it worked. Beats me. Since I haven't reproduced it, and have other stuff I'm trying to do tonight, let's just drop it if there's nothing obvious from the log. Since it's all working now I won't try again unless you want me to. OK? LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to speakers/phones. Wireless Xubuntu 15.04 laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
