Just to clarify. LMS is a single threaded application which has its own internal scheduler - so it will only ever use one core. If an LMS plugin blocks LMS (e.g. bad error handling, waiting for a response for something or doing heavy computation) - all of LMS will stop. If it stops for a short while (couple of secs) - you could get rebuffering on players that need transcoding as the player can only buffer a shorter amount of Flac (i.e. transcoded aac). I have not had a recurrence of the timeout. About 2 weeks ago on Sat afternoon - it happened very often and then went away. Last night it was happening again when you reported your problem. It "feels" to me like a BBC network server issue but the effect on plugin is probably not really a BBC error but an implementation artefact that needs to be sorted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
