About the HiRes streaming: I can't find anything about this "have to download before play" on the Qobuz Api documentation. It seems to me, that this might have been a limitation on the hardware player that was spoken about in the link a page back, or they meant the limitation of non-Sublim subscribers?
>From all I could find, the HiRes streams are accessible as soon as you fill all the prerequisites, meaning your account is "sublim" and you have purchased the track or album as HiRes. Has anyone found cotrary evidence on this in the Qobuz Api docs? I'm not sure HiRes streaming is really worth the bother, since (with the same masters being used) the sound quality should be pretty much indistinguishable from CD Quality, but if it's easy to implement, then there would be no harm in adding it to the Plugin IMHO. I'm currently on a monthly Qobuz HiFi subscription, but thinking about going for an annual subscription, and Sublim is only 20 more...still undecided though. I wish Qobuz would finally fill in the gaps their catalogue still has, then they'd really be the "best streaming service"... Thanks to the excellent work Michael Herger does on the Plugin it is currently possibly the best-supported streaming service on LMS...since Triode vanished and Spotify is no longer being worked on, Google Play Music is great, but based on an unofficial API and with very little work done on the LMS Plugin, Wimp/Tidal aren't seeing much love, same as Deezer (they rely on Mysqueezebox.com)... Ickstream might eventually help both Wimp/Tidal, Qobuz and Deezer support, but currently progress is slow there, and they rely on an additional server (like msb.com) which adds another layer of complexity and risk... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CommanderROR's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59408 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146
