I think people are misunderstanding my request. I have several installs of SqueezeLite for each zone. With your plugin it automatically makes AirPlay targets for each SqueezeLite instance. I can then stream to any of these targets individually. What I would like to do is be streaming to any of these targets and then sync another SqueezeLite player to the one I am currently AirPlaying to. In other words, I am not looking to use AirPlay to do the syncing. It is LMS that does the syncing. AirPlay should work just like any other source in LMS. As I said before, my old setup was pure windows. I used several instances of Shairport4w which all piped to VLC which would then create an HTTP radio stream. For example the Livingroom instance of Shairport would create a stream like this http://127.0.0.1:8091/Livingroom.mp3 and then use the LMS json rpc interface to queue it up to the correct SqueezeLite player. Once I had the AirPlay stream going into LMS I could then use LMS's syncing features to bind other rooms to this same stream. I know, it's a convoluted mess. I really like how your plugin streamlines the whole process. Any it's lossless which is something I could never accomplish with VLC. VLC will only do PCM over RTMP and LMS doesn't do RTMP. So I had to go with MP3. Today I dreamed up another pure windows solution which uses Shairport4w to pipe to VLC and then launch iTunes to open this stream. Once it's in iTunes I can use the iOS Remote app to remote control iTunes and tell it to output via AirPlay to other rooms in the house.
