Well so far I am very impressed. My mate's Denon is working with the
default setting and volume set to ignore as suggested.
His new home is in France and I went over last week to set up his
internet and help with streaming stuff. First thing was to set up a site
to site VPN to his office in London with the default gateway re-routed
to go down the VPN the result is all traffic is from London = full UK
streaming is available - triode's BBC iPlayer plugin and catch up TV all
works.
We set up his Denon & Beovision to connect to the LMS server via upnp. I
tried a number of control apps but none of them worked at all well as
far as playlist management was concerned. Big shame as the quality of
the 2 hifi' is very high and 24/192 flacks sound brilliant on the
Beovision.
So I got home and had a think and then remembered sq2u which I had tried
before but discovered my upnp renderer wasn't and gave up. So today I
vpn'd into his server and installed the plugin. We've got the Denon
working the way we want and it's being controlled (apart from volume) by
iPeng. Tomorrow we are going to try the Beovision. Fingers crossed.
Great work Phillipe
