So true. I think I will wait for an Onkyo I have ordered to turn up
rather than fiddle with alternate binaries :)

My start/stop problem from yesterday in case it helps others. I had
installed sq2u manually on my Vortexbox a while ago to test and found
that my old Revo Internet Radio adapter wasn't compatible so left sq2u
alone until I needed it for a friend's set up. Decided to re-try the
plugin on my VB having (I thought) removed the manual install. I hadn't
however removed the binary from /usr/bin/. When I attempted to start the
plugin the logs told me it was actually starting what turned out to be
the old version in /usr/bin/ as it is on the path. I may be the only one
that gets caught by this but you could ensure that the plugin starts the
right version and no-one else would get caught.

I do think this plugin is well worth the effort as if it can be made to
work with more devices and a compatibility list created then it holds
the key to unlocking the joys of Squeezebox control options (iPeng etc)
to those that currently only have the clunky upnp options. My mate in
the South of France being a case in point. I haven't fully converted him
to iPeng as yet but he immediately saw the difference from just the LMS
web interface over his clunky Denon remote & app.
