I think that is what occurred on my friend's Denon also. So glad we have eliminated the possibility of blowing someone's cherished speakers :) I am very close to getting this Onkyo working but not quite. I first tried the Pioneer & Marantz profiles with no joy at all. iPeng reported the player playing but it wasn't. A volume adjustment crashed the Onkyo. So I decided to go for a default setup and work from there but kept the volume curve for now. If I hit play in iPeng or the browser I see the Onkyo switch to "NET" and display "connecting" but ...
