Also, I don't have a FireTV so I can't test it directly. SB Player was lasted updated in June 2015, so if the problem started up recently, it is definitely not from any changes to the app.
AAC decoding is done using the hardware's decoder (I don't really have a choice, I'll need a license if I want to do the decoding within the app).
