Are all your workmates/friends in the same location as you when remote
?
If so (and your router supports it) consider an IP based port forwarding
of 9000 direct to your LMS. By IP based, I mean limited to one known IP
address (the work one). Address your network either by static IP (if you
have) or DynDNS I am assuming that you dont have access to the work
router to create a net 2 net vpn and/or your router isn't likely to
support that anyway.
What is the player being used ? Squeezeplay on a particlular machine ?
