I have been running LMS 7.7.3 on my Synology DS1813+ for a while. The server hosts quite a lot of classical music there and I've set up Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Multi Library and Hide Menus to allow for browsing that fully utilizes the detailed tags I have in my files. Custom scanning the whole library takes almost 2 days and I've also had query performance issues, which have been reduced when I realized that I need to manually vacuum my DBs.
Today I noticed that LMS 7.9.0 is available for Synology as a beta version. I wanted to ask whether there have been changes in LMS 7.9.0 or erland's plugins that would cause the need to reconfigure the menus I have set up on 7.7.3 or whether I should expect everything to just work if I upgrade. Browsing through the last few pages of this thread (and the 7.9.0 changelog - specifically auto-vacuuming), it seems like I should expect some performance improvements - is that the case?
