@Michael I just deleted the cache files, but the result did not change. No big deal though.
About filtering out the "sucky search results"...mind if I make a suggestion? How about not removing any results, but rather trying to sort them, so that relevant titles get a better chance of being seen, while unlikely ones get shuffeled to the back. That way they'll all be there, so nobody misses out on anything, but the quality of search results is still improved.
