Hi, guys, I'm a long time squeezelite user - the only thing I'm using it for is Spotify via Triode's plugin. As everyone will probably be aware Triode hasn't been active on the forums since Feb 2015.
I was having a quick squizz to see where things were at with libspotify (which I believe is the way this plugin interfaces to Spotify); and was shocked to see this; [UR]https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/libspotify/ "Important! LibSpotify and CocoaLibSpotify are no longer under active development on any platform and are considered deprecated." I actually found the info from here; https://github.com/jrnewell/spotify-ripper so unfortunately as both this plugin and the triode squeezelite have effectively stagnated it's lights out and game over for me - which is a real shame as I have multiple RPIs with hifiberry dac+ cards that have been working fine. My Media centre has already been switched from Windows 7 to an Nvidia shield TV, so in my case I'll have to migrate the audio to the Google audio cast technology (sync groups promised by year end, Shield update to support audio casting imminent) it's been a long ride and I really hoped there would be a viable future using RPIs but it looks doubtful now. I'd really love it if I have any of this wrong. cheers Ashley ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ashleyw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58923 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
