Is not that what deprecated means :D any new development is done without concern for the old API so it may or may not fail . Spotify is a bit of a monopoly in many parts of the world they regularly do bad decisions , their horrible native iOS apps for example . But it should be done soon it was later this year it is later this year :) so I to have hopes that we will be fine somewhow but I'm not 100% convinced that this is the case but I'm optimistic about it .
