If you uninstall BBCiPlayer and BBCiPlayerExtra (which should remove all the patches you've done thus far) and do the steps in http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103435-BBCiPlayer-Plugins-an-alternative-quick-fix-guide that should get you to a system that works except for Listen Again via BBCiPlayer - BBCiPlayerExtra should work without any further changes.
Assuming you apply all the patches recommended there, the only additional one is the patch to BBCXMLParser.pm at http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?53229-Announce-BBCiPlayer-Plugin-(UK-only)&p=834111&viewfull=1#post834111 which fixes Listen Again in BBCiPlayer (for now at least). Wireless Xubuntu 15.04 laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
