You must have been putting in an extraordinary amount of time on this and much appreciated it is too. What I was trying to do was prioritise DASH over HLS in iplayer so that On Demand in iplayer will play as a DASH @320 kbs. If DASH only is selected as a preference in iplayer then iplayerExtra doesn't play at all but by editing the settings as per my earlier post, iplayer will play On Demand with DASH @320kbs and iplayerextra does play.
