To my knowledge, libc6-i386 is the only one needed for squeeze2upnp-x86
to work on a x64 bits platform (although I've removed that
recommendation from the user guide as I now produce x64 systematically).
I've never tried for squeeze2cast for the same reason.

I can easily produce a x64 bits static version, but I'm a bit surprised
by the problem you have. I did this x86-static version a long time ago
to test on a very old system, but I don't think it is widely used or
needed. What is the version of glibc you have on your system ?
