I don't believe that. Neither making a network connection nor detecting
AirPlay devices are things Apps have any influence on. This is all being
handled by the OS. Apps do not and can not influence this.

You can't kill the Music App, too. All of Apple's Apps do their own
thing, they don't work like App Store App, they are not sandboxed.
