Has anyone succeeded in getting this (or the UPnPBridge plugin) to run on a Mac? I have tried on two pretty different setups without success. I can try running only the upnp helper on a separate Linux machine but wonder whether I'm just missing something.
The problem is that I get an error (283) when the plugin tries to start UPnP. The multicast port can't be opened, I assume that's for the discovery. I first thought there might have been a conflict with some other server also using it but I tried a clean setup and still no luck. I wonder wether there is some incompatible SOCKOPTS setting that doesn't work on BSD, BSD is always a bit tricky here and strictly speaking has no port sharing. That's why you usually have to use both active and passive UPnP discovery there. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104614 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
