I installed 1.3.0-dev-3 to test with ReplayGain. It appears to work -- played a shuffled playlist of random songs from my library without the wide volume swings I was getting previously.
On the other hand, I now have some radio stations that sound like the chipmunks are singing. I guess there is a sample rate issue in the process of converting and sending the mp3 to PCM for sending to the Chromecast (i.e., these aren't 44.1kHz streams).
