The Radio 3 volume difference is also present on FM and DAB, it's not unique to iPlayer. Most of the other stations use dynamic range compression to make them louder so that they are easily audible in a car, but this causes loss of fidelity. Radio 3 is more concerned with preserving the audio fidelity of the music and so uses no dynamic range compression at all in the evenings and only a small amount during the day (at least that's what I was told). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Owen Smith's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42371 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
