If it is a NAS then are these direcotries and files not accessible from one of your PC which are using the NAS as mapped drives /shared storage ? Otherwise - don't use plugin for say 30 mins and make sure each player has played something else to ensure there is no reference to the plugin - cache entry should then expire naturally.
