Thanks. I undid the tweak and set the timeout to 600, silence. Redid the tweak - i.e. disabling PCM and it works now. The stream is at the correct pitch and appears to stay in sync (as much as it can) with the same stream playing on the Classic. So the timeout change looks to be important. bpa - you are all ways very helpful thanks again.
