Looking for advice on the best way to filter out local tracks from being used. I have about 120,000 local music files, and the limit is 100K. I can see a way to filter out be genre, but are there other ways to filter that I'm missing? Also, it would be nice to know how many songs remain after the genre filters I have in place already, so I know how close to the 100k limit I am. Didn't notice that info in the settings or the log, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place.
Your best bet probably would be LMS 7.9: it allows you to create sub-libraries (or library views), which is basically a filtered view on your collection. Use the Advanced Search in the web UI to come up with a filter which would match your selection, save it as a library view, then go to SmartMix settings to select that view as the filter to be used during the export.
