I think also what surprised me is that looking at the number of
downloads on sourceforge (beyond the exchanges on that forum), there is
a lot for the UPnP Bridge, a good amount for Chromecast and very little
for AirPlay (especially the large difference between UPnP and AirPlay
was a surprise because a lot of UPnP capable devices are AirPlay capable
as well - at least I think - UPnP are higher than expected and AirPlay
lower :))

BTW, on gapless, there is a potential solution for both UPnP and
Chromecast and that's to have the bridge do decoding (like it does on
AirPlay) and then make the player believe that everything is just a very
long single track - the problem with that if you lose all metadata and
progress indication on the player itself, so that's why I did not go
that route
