I figured out my firewall was blocking the download. I unblocked it so now the plugin installed.
I again had the problem that it was not creating the configuration file. I tried generating it but that did not work. I fixed it as follows: Settings menu gave me a choice of squeeze2cast-x86-64-static or squeeze2cast-x86-64. There was no squeeze2cast-x86-64-static so I made a link to to squeeze2cast-x86-static. I also had to change squeeze2cast-x86-64-static to executable. I was then able to generate the configuration file.
