That was my understanding as well. In LMS, you can decide what happens when you press the off button in the UI. If you choose to pause the player, the bridge will just receive and forward a 'pause' command and I assume that this will not put it to standby. If you choose to stop the player, then the bridge forwards a UPnP stop command and in that case only I assumed the player could go standby
