You probably have restarted LMS too quickly and it ended up having a corrupted downloaded plugin zip file in/var/lib/squeezecenter/cache/DownloadedPlugins. Delete it and start the update procedure again, but wait a good 5 min before restarting LMS (you can check that the file above is not growing any more)
